The Squad training sessions have been structured to build on the existing skills of our athletes as well as targeting the development of newer volleyball players.
With the current restrictions and limitations due to COVID-19, the format of our sessions have been restructured to ensure that our athletes are able to get back on the court while maintaining the health and safety of our coaches and players.
Each session has been designed to ensure maximum exposure to ball drills and targeted skill development along with game play.
The squads will be made up of the same gender and age group, will be for an hour duration and have the same coach/es for a total of 10 sessions.
The U19 Girls Squad will be held on Monday nights from 7.15pm to 8.15pm and will commence on Monday, 13th July. It will be held on Court 2 at Kings Christian College, Reedy Creek and coached by Barry Lee and Hazel Liddell.
Athletes will need to commit to the whole term (10 sessions) with full payment due by session 2. The cost for 10 sessions is $100 per athlete. In order to meet the requirements put on us by the Federal and State Governments, athletes are unable to 'make up' any sessions they miss or swap groups during the term.
Age eligibility:
U15 - must be turning 14 in 2020 or younger
U17 - must be turning 16 in 2020 or younger
U19 - must be turning 18 in 2020 or younger
* Please ensure you arrive 15 minutes prior to the session, comply with all the check in procedures and do your stretching warm up prior to the commencement of the session.
** There will also be an opportunity to enter junior teams into the Queensland State Championships. This weekend long tournament will be held on Saturday 3rd, Sunday 4th and Monday 5th October. For those athletes wishing to compete, there will be an additional cost of approximately $50 per athlete.
