At the Gold Coast Volleyball Club we are committed to developing our players, referees and coaches by providing national refereeing and coaching accreditation opportunities at a subsidised price. We are pleased to advise that we will be offering a Level 2 Referee Course on Sunday 22nd March 2020 for Juniors (under 18) from 9.00am to 5.00pm at the Sports Centre, Kings Christian College, Reedy Creek (parking in Gate 3). The cost of this full day course will be $60.00 for Gold Coast Volleyball Club members or $70.00 for non Club members (includes: accreditation and a soft copy of the referee manual - you will need to download/print the manual for yourself prior to the course and bring along). In order to be eligible to participate in this particular session you must be aged between 12 and 18 years of age (course is offered to Seniors on Sunday 22nd March) and have completed the following online units: Play by the Rules Child Protection Online Course - https://www.playbytherules.net.au/online-courses/child-protection-online-course Harassment & Discrimination Online Courses - and https://www.playbytherules.net.au/online-courses/harassment-and-discrimination-online-course Community Officiating Principles Course - https://origin.sportaus.gov.au/coaches_and_officials/officials prior to attending the course. At the end of the course you will be accredited with a Level 1 Referee and have completed the theory units for Level 2, with level 2 accreditation provided after completing the practical components at a later date. * Please note that Level 2 accreditation is only available for those 14 years and older however Level 1 is available from 12 years. For those under 14 years they will do the theory units for Level 2 however will need to wait until they turn 14 to get full Level 2 accreditation after they have completed the practical units. Please bring your own lunch and water bottle.
